Whitsun Trophy Win for Olly at Glorious Goodwood - 18th September

Sunday 18th September 2022

Olly Bryant at long last claimed victory in the Whitsun Trophy at the wheel of a 1966 Lola T70 Spyder. Having finished a close P2 in 2021, Olly was delighted to win the race from pole position after a dominant drive fending off the fast Mclaren M1s of Stuart Hall and Rob Hall.

Olly also participated in the Moss Memorial Trophy at the wheel of a 1962 AC Cobra 260 alongside owner Richard Cook. Hopes were high after a successful testing program with the car, but after a rare mechanical failure in qualifying, the duo never recovered and an unfortunate safety car, meant they ended the race in P13. Olly did record 3rd fastest lap of the race so the potential is there for a stronger result on the next outing.

Olly also returned to the RAC TT Celebration , the race he won in 2021. This time, Olly was in a smaller engined car, sharing the Historika Porsche 904/6 with Porsche factory driver Neel Jani. Olly set a record qualifying time for the car, 1.28.4s and the pair had a clean race to end up best Porsche 904 and P14 overall.
