Fifth At Blancpain Endurance Series Finale Nets Ecurie Ecosse Third in Pro-Am Championships
Ecurie Ecosse Powered By Black Bull rounded off their fantastically successful 2014 campaign by claiming third place in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ Blancpain Endurance Series Pro-Am championships after finishing fifth at a rain-hit Nurburgring on September 20/21.
Alasdair McCaig, Andrew Smith and Olly Bryant all excelled in the treacherous weather conditions to bring the Barwell Motorsport-run #79 BMW Z4 GT3 home fifth in class and 11th overall, while also maintaining their 100% points-scoring record in the series.

Ecurie Ecosse Scores Third British GT Podium in Thrilling Brands Hatch Enduro

Stunning Silverstone Performance Relights Ecurie Ecosse’s Title Hunt
Ecurie Ecosse netted a well-deserved second place finish in this weekend’s three-hour British GT race at Silverstone thanks to strong performances from Alasdair McCaig and team newcomer Ollie Hancock. The former Lotus Motorsport factory driver deputised for Olly Bryant at the British Grand Prix venue as the Ecosse regular continues to recover from an injury suffered in July.

Olly Bryant in 3rd World Sportscar win in as many starts at the Silverstone Classic
Qualifying was a wash out with the session being red flagged as heavy rain flooded the track and stopped play. Andrew Smith’s single lap time at that point was good enough for pole. The session was then restarted behind the safety car for the first drivers to complete their 3 mandatory qualifying laps. Olly the took to the wheel for what turned out to be the remaining 5 minutes of the session and recorded a lap time just good enough for pole position, some 0.3s quicker than the next car.
