Oliver Claims Two Victories on the Silverstone Historic Grand Prix Circuit

Oliver Bryant won the Cloth Cap race for historic sports and gt cars in a Lotus XV shared with his father Grahame. The car had a misfire in qualifying and the timekeeping system was down so the car lined up 26th on the grid in all the confusion.

Bryant Scores Maiden Sportscar win at Snetterton

British GT star Oliver Bryant took victory in his first sportscar race in a Jade Prototype driving with the car’s owner Howard Spooner.

Oliver had never driven the car before but instantly connected with the car and qualified it on the front row of the grid with a 1m04.7s lap around the Norfolk circuit.

Howard Spooner took the start and set off in chase of James Richards in a much higher spec car. Howard was loosing touch slightly then suffered a spin when the brakes got hot. He pitted at 30 mins with a 45s deficit to the lead car.

Oliver Claims another 2 Class Win in HGTCC and two Overall Podiums

Irish racers Jackie Cochrane and Stephen Colbert claimed an impressive double victory as the Charterhouse Heritage GT Car Challenge provided some of the best supporting action to the A1 GP feature races at Brands Hatch (28/29 April).

Rounds 2 & 4 Donington Park

There was a brand new look to the Tech 9 squad for rounds 3 and 4 of the 2007 British GT Championship at Donington Park.

It wasn’t a new livery or a new team member but rather a different tint to the existing driver squad, Oliver Bryant and Matt Harris having laid down a bet pre-season that they would dye their hair blonde if and when the team won a race – Race 2 at Oulton Park delivered that result, so it was two bottles into the shower and a new Nordic look for Messrs Bryant and Harris.

Strong drive by Oliver nets the Bryant Morgan a podium place

Towards the end of the afternoon, another tremendous field of cars lined up for the 45-minute two-driver race. Lloyd set the pace again from the start, from Bussell, Peter Hall (Chevrolet Camaro), Oliver Bryant (Morgan Plus8) and Jenkinson. But fresh from competing in the British GT race, Bryant quickly picked his way past his rivals and, after going side by side into Redgate with Lloyd on lap six, took the lead into the Old Hairpin.

Rounds 1 & 2 Oulton Park

Oliver posted an impressive time of 1m43.7s to place the car 3rd on the grid for race 1. Matt Harris posted an equally respectable time of 1m43.9s to line the car up 6th for race 2.

Tech9 Returns to British GT with Oliver Bryant and Matt Harris

Matt Harris, partnered by Piers Masarati, won the GT3 class at the final British GT race of 2007 at Silverstone last September, finishing 3rd overall in the 2-hour race. Double British GT class winner Oliver Bryant steps up from the GTC Class Team Aero Morgan Aero 8 in which he and Keith Ahlers impressed in 2006, finishing 4th overall in the 2006 British GTC Class.

Bryant and Harris Complete Successful Silverstone test

Oliver Bryant and Matt Harris Completed 39 trouble free laps at the official Avon Tyres British GT Championship Media Day.

After missing 2 hours of the 3 hour test due to a mechanical problem, Oliver recorded a lap time of 59.8s around the Silverstone National Circuit.

Killarney Race circuit – Cape Town

On the 11th of February at Killarney Race circuit in Cape Town Oliver won the pre-66 get race in the AC Cobra after starting 2nd on the grid against a grid of 40 competitors.
