Silverstone Festival 26-27th August
Re-dubbed the Silverstone Festival for 2023. Olly had a busy weekend with several drives across the weekend. Highlights were winning the Stirling Moss Trophy race after a good early battle with Andrew Kirkaldy and then after the restart, in wet conditions with Roger Wills in a similar Lotus 15. Olly also won the pre-63 class of the Jaguar Challenge race sharing with father Grahame in a 1962 E Type FHC. The pair shared the 67 Camaro to take class honours in the MRL HTCC race in mixed conditions. Driving solo, Olly raced to a fine P2 in the Masters World Sportscar race. An early battle with the Lola T70 of Martin O’Connell and the Chevron of Diogo Ferrao and the Ferraris of Pearson and Hart was exhilarating. Olly led after the pit-stops but the hard charging Alex Brundle found his was past in the Ferrari 512. Olly also shared in HSCC with Alexis Maskell in a Porsche 911.
