Oulton Park US Autoshow – 19th August
Olly Bryant raced the 1967 Z28 Camaro to take an unexpected win at Oulton Park. The Bernie’s V8 grid was the star of the popular US Autoshow, with large crowds across the weekend. Olly qualified third behind a more modern Porsche and TVR. The drivers’ lined up for a “Le Mans” style start with the drivers’ running to their cars. Olly looked settled in third place but a mistake by Porsche in 2nd place and then the lead TVR running out of fuel, promoted Olly into the lead at the start of the final lap. The plentiful US car fans were overjoyed to see the Camaro cross the line in first place.
