Fourth Overall on The Tour Britannia

Thursday 19th July 2007

Oliver Bryant shared a 1976 Lotus 7 Twin Cam with friend Joe Twyman in the 2007 race and rally tour of Great Britain. The tour took place over 3 days and took in Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Mallory Park and Oulton Park in addition to numerous rally stages and hill climbs.

Oliver drove the little Lotus to 3rd Place at Brands and fourth at Mallory and Oulton behind the much more powerful Porsches and the leading Chevron.

The pairing both drove well on the special stages and endured an epic battle with experienced rally driver John Sheldon and his co-driver Leslie Stevens. The young pairing came out on top and finished 4th overall and just 1m56s behind the leading Chevron of John Grant after 3 days of action packed rallying and racing.

The result came to the shock of the more powerful cars to see the Lotus trading times with the Chevron and Porsches on the special stages.

Oliver would like to thank Neil Twyman limited for preparing the car which ran faultlessly throughout the event and Joe Twyman for inviting him to share the car.
