Engine Failure Causes Oliver To Miss Podium On Le Mans Debut

Oliver started the Le Mans Legends 1 hour support race to the main 24 hour event in 11th place. His fast qualifying lap had to be aborted after oil from another car smothered the screen of the 1964 AC Cobra.
Oliver soon made progress through the field fighting his way past much faster macinery up the 3rd place on the damp La Sarthe circuit. He was the lead non-prototype car chasing down a Lola T70 and Ferrari 250LM when the head gasket let go forcing the car to retire.
This was a disastorous end to such a strong showing where Oliver was making the car punch well above its weight right at the front of the 60 car grid! Oliver hopes to return to Le Mans in 2008 to contest in the main 24 hour event.
Thanks to Spirit Automotive for preparing the car.
