- 2020 Season
Olly repeated previous years’ success at the Bentley Drivers’ Club meeting with another strong display. Pole position was followed by an exciting win and fastest lap, again under the existing lap record.
Olly recorded a lap time of 1m01.2s in qualifying to out-qualify the similar machines of Bill Lancashire and Roger Whiteside. Olly’s former GT Cup team-mate Will Plant was a strong P4 in a smaller engined 4/4 Morgan. Olly was sharing with father Grahame in the double header event. Grahame started race was and was running strongly in P2 when some debris punctured the tyre causing a retirement just 3 minutes from the chequered flag. Olly was forced to start race 2 from the back of the 28 car field. After a cautious initial get away in the traffic, by lap 8, Olly had stormed to the front to record another Silverstone BDC meeting win in the famous family plus 8 “1 MOG”.
