A Classic Performance At Silverstone – Silverstone Classic – 31st July 2021
The SIlverstone Classic returned in 2021 and it was a sell out crowd for the weekend of racing action and rock concerts. Olly had a strong weekend, with a 2nd place in the Lola T70 in torrential wet conditions. The race was red flagged at one point due to circuit flooding. At the restart Olly duelled with Alex Brundle in a similar T70 MK3b. They crossed the line just 2 seconds apart after a dominant display finishing well clear of the rest of the field. Olly also retuned with the AC Cobra and finished an excellent 2nd overall in the Masters Gentleman Drivers race, splitting the two faster Daytona Cobra versions. Olly also shared the Chevy Camaro with father Grahame setting fastest lap in class in another wet race to end up 2nd in class. The Roush Mustang was also back in action in the Masters Endurance Legends races, with a GT1 class win for Olly in the first race before a worsening misfire curtailed his efforts in race 2.
