Silverware at Silverstone – GTSCC 12th June 2022
Olly Bryant teamed up with car owner Richard Hywel-Evans in his lovely black AC Cobra for the 2 Hour GT and Sports Car Cup race at Silverstone on the 12th of June. Olly qualified the car third on the grid whilst bedding tyres and brakes ahead of the 2 hour race. Richard started and finished the race, with Olly doing a 40 minute stint in the middle. Richard’s opening stint saw him hold 5th place throughout. Once Olly took over, he charged up the order, setting a string of fastest laps and climbing to 2nd overall before pitting to re-install Richard with just under 50 minutes to go. Richard drove very well to bring the car home in a strong P3. Olly recorded the fastest lap of the race with a 2.31.6s lap. Thanks to Gary Spencer and his team at CRC for preparing the car, and Richard Hywel-Evans for asking Olly to drive.
