2006 Profile
Oliver Bryant
The Future: 2006 and beyond…
Since being Autosport’s ‘One to watch’ at the end of 2004, Oliver has competed in 70 races at 30 meetings in 6 countries. Due to the immense success of 2005 and the media buzz surrounding Oliver Bryant, there are several interesting propositions for the next couple of seasons. There are offers from teams right across the international GT racing scene. Oliver is currently in discussion with top teams for drives in GT2, GT1, LMP2 and LMP1. The plan for 2006 is a major international GT car championship at the highest level such as the Le Mans Endurance series and Oliver’s goal is to race in the Le Mans 24 hour race before he is 21.
At the end of the 2005 season, Oliver drove a Porsche 996 GT3 RSR with Tech 9 Motorsport in the GT2 class in the Nurburgring round of the LMES as a taster for next season. He also tested an LMP1 prototype at Silverstone with Rollcentre Racing.
He impressed all concerned and was on the pace straight away in this high-downforce 200 mph Le Mans machine. The 2006 season is set to be an incredibly exciting year for Oliver Bryant and all those involved.
