David Yates and Graham Scarborough scored a memorable victory in the opening race in the 2006 Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge during the F3/GT meeting at Oulton Park (Cheshire) on Easter Monday (April 17). In front of a 10,000-strong Bank Holiday crowd, the HGTCC pack delivered a highly entertaining race with plenty of action and battles throughout the field. While Yates/Scarborough (Ford Mustang) claimed overall victory, class glory went to Pat Thomas/Mike Youles (Lotus Elan 26R) and Conor O'Brien (Mini Cooper S)....more

Team Aero Struggled to fined a balance on the new Avon Tyres at the first meeting of the year. The compound was too hard for the car and this caused an oversteer problem which greatly affected the potential of the car. Avon have accepted the problem and are making a soft compound rear tyre for the team to test prior to the second meeting in May at Donington....more

BRYANT PLEASED WITH DIJON FIA TEST

Oliver Bryant returned from the final FIA GT3 Test at Dijon having made great progress in the Porsche 997. Both Tech 9 cars ran faultlessly covering more than 150 miles each day. Oliver has become more accustomed to the handling characteristics of the Porsche has started to up his pace to a competitive level. The team is looking set for the first race at Silverstone on the Grand Prix Circuit on the 7th of May....more
