2.0L Cup Final, Paul Ricard - 20th October 2019

- 2019 Season
Bryant & Smith returned to the podium at Paul Ricard in the final round of the 2019 2.0L Cup Championship. The reigning champions, needed a good result to stand any chance of retaining their crown, as a DNF at Spa earlier in the year meant they were some way behind on points. As per Monza, the long straights didn’t help their cause, but Olly qualified the car 2nd on the grid for the 90 minute race. Championship leader Mark Sumpter was on top form and converted his strong pole position into an early race lead that he would never relinquish. Try as he might, Olly couldn’t catch Sumpter in the final 45 minutes as the long back straight in sector 2 favoured the Sumpter car. The P2 result means Olly & Andrew conclude the season in 2nd place in the standings after another competitive season together. Olly would like to thank Historika for the opportunity and another top season with 3 wins (Barcelona, Dijon, Hungaroring).
