Rounds 1&2 Oulton Park 15/17th April 2006

Team Aero Struggled to fined a balance on the new Avon Tyres at the first meeting of the year. The compound was too hard for the car and this caused an oversteer problem which greatly affected the potential of the car. Avon have accepted the problem and are making a soft compound rear tyre for the team to test prior to the second meeting in May at Donington.

BRYANT PLEASED WITH DIJON FIA TEST

Oliver Bryant returned from the final FIA GT3 Test at Dijon having made great progress in the Porsche 997. Both Tech 9 cars ran faultlessly covering more than 150 miles each day. Oliver has become more accustomed to the handling characteristics of the Porsche has started to up his pace to a competitive level. The team is looking set for the first race at Silverstone on the Grand Prix Circuit on the 7th of May.

BRITISH GT MEDIA DAY SILVERSTONE

Oliver Bryant tested the Aero 8 Morgan at the Launch of the 2006 British GT championship media day. The aim was to get in some valuable dry weather testing to develop the new Avon Slick tyre. The test was successful with the car completing 48 laps without fault and Oliver posted a time of 1m27.5s. This was the second fastest GTC car running on Avon Slicks. Team Aero’s testing continues next Tuesday at Snetterton in preparation for the opening rounds of the Championship at Oulton Park on the 15th/16th/17th of April.

OLIVER BRYANT AND KEITH AHLERS GAVE THE AERO 8 MORGAN ITS FIRST SHAKE DOWN RUN OF THE SEASON AT DONINGTON

The Team Aero Morgan GT car had its first run of the season at Donington Park on Thursday. The track was very wet so unfortunately development work with the new Avon slick tyre could not be carried out. Oliver and Keith will return to Donington next Thursday (the 16th of march) in the hope of dry weather to carry out thorough testing of the suspension and tyres.

BRYANT SIGNS WITH TEAM AERO FOR THE 2006 BRITISH GT CHAMPIONSHIP

Keith Ahlers and his Team Aero Morgan will be back for another crack at British GTs this season – and Oliver Bryant will be sharing the car (in the GT Cup Class) for a second season.The Morgan finished every race it started in 2005, and for the new season, the suspension has been upgraded, to make the best use of the Avon tyres.
