Positive End To Blancpain Endurance Series Campaign For Ecurie Ecosse

Ecurie Ecosse Powered By Black Bull’s Alasdair McCaig, Devon Modell and Oliver Bryant brought their 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series campaign to a positive conclusion by overcoming a tough outing to score points at the Nurburgring yesterday (September 20).

Indeed, the legendary Scottish squad were pleased to bring their somewhat challenging season to a close by finishing 10th in class around the historic German venue’s GP configuration.

Ecurie Ecosse Powered By Black Bull endured a tough second Blancpain Endurance Series outing of the season on home soil this weekend (May 22-24) at Silverstone where Alasdair McCaig, Oliver Bryant and Devon Modell finished 13th in the Pro Am category.

The legendary Scottish squad’s Barwell Motorsport-run BMW Z4 GT3 seemed incapable of escaping the fraught midfield fight throughout Sunday afternoon’s three-hour encounter at the home of British motorsport in what became a never-ending case of two steps forwards, one step back.

Ecurie Ecosse Finish P4 on Strong Blancpain Endurance Series Debut

Legendary Scottish motor racing outfit Ecurie Ecosse kicked off their 2014 season with an impressive result in the Blancpain Endurance Series opener at Monza on Sunday (April 13) where Olly Bryant, Andrew Smith and Alasdair McCaig brought the squad’s Barwell Motorsport-run BMW Z4 GT3 home fourth in their 19-strong Pro-Am class and 12th overall in the field of 38.

After a series of trouble-free practice sessions, Bryant utilised new tyres to qualify ninth in class and 21st overall on Saturday afternoon with a best lap that was just 0.15sec behind the best placed Z4 of Nick Catsburg and TDS Racing.

Olly Bryant shakes down 2014 spec Ecurie Ecosse BMW Z4 GT3

Olly Bryant was reunited with 2012 British GT team mate Alasdair McCaig for their first taste of the 2014 spec BMW Z4. The Barwell Motorsport prepared car ran faultlessly thorughout the day and both drivers were able to gain valuable knowledge and mileage on the Pirelli tyres ahead of Ecurie Ecosse’s campaign in the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series. Both drivers set competitive lap times on the circuit where Olly had claimed pole position for the 2013 British GT race.
