Rounds 7 & 8 Snetterton

For race 1, Oliver qualified the Morgan in P5 with a 1m13.042s. For race 2, Keith qualified the car in P7 with a 1m13.813s.

News from the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge

Father and son team Grahame and Oliver Bryant scored a double victory in the third meeting of the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge season at Snetterton (15/16 July). In front of an excellent British F3/GT crowd, the Heritage field delivered two highly entertaining races for the Marston Hotels supported event.

Rounds 3 & 4 Oschersleben

Oliver Bryant and Maxime Dumarey lined up 18th and 38th in the 2 qualifying sessions. Oliver struggled to get in a clear lap and was hampered by having only completed a few laps in qualifying after a Dodge Viper pushed him into the gravel during the practice session ending his session.

Rounds 6 & 7 Mondello Park (Ireland)

The drizzle had stopped by the time lunch ended and the BGT field began the first of the two 15 minute qualifying sessions. A strong breeze had begun to dry the track in places, but it was too early for slicks at the start. Team Tiger and Team Aero were both struggling on wet rubber, Chris Beighton’s best of 2:01.454 just pipping Oliver Bryant by two tenths. The Morgan lined up P7 for Race One.

Rounds 4&5 Pau (France)

Keith Ahlers and Oliver Bryant were much happier in the south of France than at Donington, as was the car; “It’s been on the rolling road back at base and is running problem free,” said Bryant.

Round 3 – Donington Park

Despite the engine problems of earlier in the day apparently being cured, the engine steadfastly refused to cooperate with either of the Aero 8’s two drivers. “There’s no power at all,” said Oliver Bryant later. “ it was hard enough just moving off, but I was going through the chicane in second just to try and prevent the engine from stalling!” The Morgan would start Sunday’s race from the back of the grid.

Rounds 1&2 Silverstone GP circuit

The first round of the FIA GT3 European Championship saw Oliver Bryant and his team-mate Maxime Dumarey come away with 2 top 10 finishes (in a field of 46 cars) and they were the 2nd placed Porsche (out of 9) in both races.

BRYANT TESTS PORSCHE 997 AT THE OFFICIAL FIA GT3 CHAMPIONSHIP TEST

Oliver Bryant tested the Porsche 997 for the first at Paul Ricard with Tech 9 Motorsport last week as a part of the official FIA test to evaluate the performance of the various marques prior to the opening round at Silverstone on May the 6 and 7th.

News from the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge

David Yates and Graham Scarborough scored a memorable victory in the opening race in the 2006 Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge during the F3/GT meeting at Oulton Park (Cheshire) on Easter Monday (April 17).
In front of a 10,000-strong Bank Holiday crowd, the HGTCC pack delivered a highly entertaining race with plenty of action and battles throughout the field. While Yates/Scarborough (Ford Mustang) claimed overall victory, class glory went to Pat Thomas/Mike Youles (Lotus Elan 26R) and Conor O’Brien (Mini Cooper S).
